Each Joglo has an elevated verandah and bedroom of 5 x 5.8m total dimension, accessible by wooden stairs. The sleeping area is reconstructed from the original timber recycled with wooden shutters without glass to preserve the authentic feel. A sumptuous King-sized teak bed is provided with mosquito netting for your comfort and protection. The bedroom also has bedside tables and lamps, a writing table and chair, tea and coffee making facilities, a bar fridge and an authentic “jodang” luggage chest. A split system air conditioner is installed for your comfort.
Breakfast is served on your verandah where you can enjoy open air dining on the teak chairs and table.
From the rear of the sleeping area, the dressing room, bathroom and toilet are found down a short flight of wooden steps. The dressing room is furnished with a wardrobe complete with hangers, a dressing table and mirror, a safe and a hair dryer.
The bathroom and toilet is enclosed by a solid wall but open to natural light and pure rain to allow the garden in the bathroom to thrive. A handmade wooden vanity is topped by a hollowed stone sink. The shower is in our blue tiled bathtub so you can relax in the natural environment and see the night sky during our warm tropical nights.
We may not have the luxuries of the five star hotels, but we have genuine hospitality in our hearts.
